Our Ministries
By having both formal and informal ministries, the Mission Bend Church encourages our members to serve externally and internally. The only way we know to serve God is to serve others - both within and without the body. We have some formal ministries that allow us to serve locally and world-wide along with many informal ministries, primarily to serve our neighbors.
Formal local ministries
Formal local ministries
- Leading in worship (such as leading singing, leading public prayer, leading and serving communion, and public speaking)
- Teaching and assisting in Bible classes
- Preparing and cleaning communion trays
- Fellowship meals (organizing, setting up, and cleaning up)
- Local benevolence
- Support of missionaries
- Support of children's homes
- Assisting a neighbor with any needed help
- Providing help in the community at the time of a death
